Welcome to Gladiolus English Medium School. Henceforth, it will be addressed as GEMS, abbreviated version of the full form. It is run by Rajarshi Shri Shahu Pratishthan Chakan. The management trustees are dedicated to the ideology and principles of a great social reformist king Rajarshi Shri Shahu Maharaj, who had worked to bring out change in the lives of common people. Being the principal, I will try my best to follow the principles set by Rajarshi Shri Shahu Maharaj.

The role of a school is not only to pursue academic excellence but also to motivate and empower its students to be lifelong learners, critical thinkers, and productive members of an ever changing global society. At GEMS, we will provide our students an educational environment which will be helpful for their multifaceted development and where the children are encouraged to channelize their potential in the pursuit of excellence and knowledge. This can only be possible in holistic, student centric environment. The talents, skills and abilities of each student need to be identified, nurtured, and encouraged so that he / she is able to reach the horizon of their dream. The students need to be provided with a platform to think, express and exhibit their skills. It is necessary to empower them to negotiate several issues that confront them, with the teacher being a facilitator.

The GEMS will strive hard to make the best possible efforts to inculcate strong values like compassion for others and respect the dignity of socially and culturally diverse community. The values of life will be inculcated through academics, co curricular and extracurricular activities. In order to convert a student into a self reliant and independent citizen, GEMS will provide an amalgam of scholastic and co-scholastic activities.

At GEMS, we will promote activity based learning, a scientific temper and spirit of free enquiry in the teaching- learning process. Apart from this, GEMS is also committed to prepare the students for life, groom them to face the challenges of tomorrow, and encourage them to be socially relevant and leaders in their respective fields.

We believe that teachers at school and parents at home are equal stake holders in holistic education. We both need to be partners in this learning process of your child. Our endevour is to teach each one of our students to redefine success, not by the absence of failures in life, but by overcoming them.

We at GEMS means the principal, teachers, administrative staff, the management trustees, the parents and the will make sure that home extends to school and school extends to home seamlessly.
